Pep Guardiola's searing start as Manchester City manager gained further legs with a convincing 4-1 win over traditionally tricky opponents Stoke at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.
After a first half of sizzling one touch passing and two Sergio Aguero goals, the second brought a strange penalty, converted by Bojan, that seemed to stop City in their tracks at 2-1. The late arrival of Kelechi Iheanacho for Aguero brought about two more goals, this time for Nolito, to take City to the top of the table after two games.
Positives
Guardiola's men produced a wonderful combination of fast passing and energetic pressing that wore both Stoke's players and a boisterous crowd down to dust by half time.
