Joey Barton is the latest England fan to voice their outrage over the 'playful update' to the St George's Cross on the back of Nike's new England shirt.
The controversial former Manchester City, QPR and Newcastle midfielder has long sparked outrage for his unfiltered viewpoints and comments.
So it comes as no surprise that the retired footballer decided to weigh in on the controversy and to involve himself in the drama.
Although many have felt indifferent to the slight change to the world recognised Red Cross, a petition has been created to revert the colourful St George's Cross back to it's original format and recall the current jersey.
