Joe Hart will leave Burnley at the end of June as club confirm his contract won't be extended...but he could still be on the bench to face his old side Manchester City

Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart has been told his contract at Burnley won't be extended beyond June 30.

Hart, 33, was informed on Saturday with manager Sean Dyche allowing the player to decide if he wants to be on the bench at his old club Manchester City on Monday.

The news leaves Hart a free agent with the rest of the summer to look for a new club.

The 33-year-old has played just three games in the cup for Sean Dyce's side this season

A two-time Premier League champion with City who played 75 times for England, Hart's career took a downturn after Pep Guardiola arrived at The Etihad in 2016 and he subsequently went on loan to Torino and West Ham.
