Football fans have claimed Matildas star Mary Fowler is fast developing an English accent following a recent interview from a Women's Super League match.
Fowler, 21, chatted after starring with two goal assists during Manchester City's commanding 4-1 victory over Liverpool and her distinctive Australian twang appeared to have undergone a change.
The footage was later uploaded to TikTok - and most supporters were convinced that she sounded noticeably different.
'What's with the English accent,' one fan asked.
Another posted in response: 'That is what happens when you move to a different country for a few years.
