Gary Neville insists Chelsea and Tottenham can challenge Liverpool for the Premier League title after labelling the injury to Virgil Van Dijk as a 'gamechanger'.

Jose Mourinho's men shot up to the top of the table after a ruthless 2-0 win against Manchester City at the weekend, with Jurgen Klopp's champions joining them on 20 points after beating Leicester at Anfield.

Frank Lampard's side meanwhile sit two points behind the duo after their victory against Newcastle, and will face Spurs in their next Premier League fixture on Sunday.

And speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast ahead of the Reds' win on Sunday, Neville believes the two London sides can compete with Klopp's men due to Van Dijk's long-term injury sustained in last month's Merseyside derby, which 'exposes them a lot more'.
