Injury risk! Raheem Sterling has warned Premier League return could come too soon, top physio Gary Lewin fears late tackles, strains and niggles... and the top flight is being told to push restart BACK until June 26

Raheem Sterling has cast further doubt over Project Restart by insisting that Premier League footballers need at least a month of training before they can play again.

And the Manchester City’s star’s concerns have been supported by leading physio Gary Lewin who says there is a ‘high risk’ players will pick up injuries if they are rushed back.

The 20 top-flight clubs will vote on a return to group training at an emergency meeting on Monday in the hope that players can go back to work from Tuesday.
