IAN LADYMAN: No one mocks Jack Grealish now and that’s down to Pep Guardiola and his love of coaching... we are lucky to have managers like the Man City boss who are the lifeblood of our game and want to have an impact

At the recent England game against Ukraine at Wembley, the loudest cheer of a pretty flat night was for the late introduction of Jack Grealish as a substitute.

England fans like Grealish. They see him as a flair player. They like his unpredictability because, on an international football landscape that often provides the opposite, it makes him stand out.

At Manchester City, it has been a slower burn. Grealish is now approaching the last knockings of his second season at the Etihad and perhaps only now are we starting to see the best of him.
