'I think we both made a mistake': Brescia owner Massimo Cellino admits regret over bringing Mario Balotelli back to his hometown team... with his contract to be ripped up if Serie A side are relegated this season

Brescia owner Massimo Cellino conceded he made a 'mistake' in bringing Mario Balotelli to his hometown club, with the former Manchester City striker set to leave at the end of the season.

Balotelli was raised in the region and despite struggling to settle in England and France, there was real hope he could lead his hometown team in Serie A and help keep them up.

But Cellino admits both he and Balotelli, who is under contract until 2022, 'made a mistake' in thinking it would work out.
