'I didn't think Jurgen was that kind of manager, look at the calendar again': Pep Guardiola sparks up new row with Liverpool boss after Klopp hinted 'two-week' Covid break helped Man City soar past them

Pep Guardiola has ignited a fresh row with Jurgen Klopp about their respective schedules ahead of Manchester City's trip to Liverpool on Sunday.

After Reds boss Klopp said 'We haven't had a break, Man City had two weeks for Covid reasons... it's a tough year,' City manager Guardiola struck back quickly.

He said: 'Jurgen has to see the calendar again... He made a mistake, it was three months off? Four months we had off? That's why we are in the top four...I'm surprised. I didn't think Jurgen was that kind of manager but maybe it was a misunderstanding from him.
