‘He creates space and has shots’ – Pep Guardiola favourite tipped to impress after Harry Kane loss

The summer transfer window is shut and Manchester City are still reeling from missing out on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, but Rodri believes they have a player able to shoulder the scoring burden without him – Ferran Torres.

Pep Guardiola has already tipped the 21-year-old to impress in what would have been Kane’s role up front and Rodri told El Pais that Torres has all the attributes to score goals in the makeshift position.

He said: “A player of the stature of Kane helps a lot. But we have a team that has been able to win the Premier League and you have little to change.
