Harry Kane could still make the Carabao Cup final as Ryan Mason refuses to rule him out of Sunday's Wembley showdown with Manchester City despite another ankle injury forcing him off against Everton

Tottenham's interim manager Ryan Mason has refused to rule Harry Kane out of the Carabao Cup final.

Kane twisted an ankle playing against Everton, on Friday, and is yet to return to training but Spurs have not given up hope of their top scorer being fit for Sunday's Wembley showpiece against Manchester City.

'It's one of those cases where we're taking it day by day,' said 29-year-old Mason, thrust into the role after Jose Mourinho was sacked on Monday.
