FA CUP FINAL NOTEBOOK: Man City look set to emulate United's Treble but Fergie still leads Pep Guardiola on Doubles, as both Ilkay Gundogan and Bruno Fernandes lead by example

Manchester City took another step towards their historic Treble by beating Manchester United 2-1 in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Ilkay Gundogan scored twice, including the fastest-ever goal in FA Cup final history after just 12 seconds, either side of a penalty equaliser by Bruno Fernandes.

With the Premier League title and the FA Cup now in the bag, City head to Istanbul where they will take on Inter Milan next Saturday in the Champions League final.

For Erik ten Hag's United it was a disappointing conclusion to what has been a positive season.
