Ex-Manchester City and Brazil forward Robinho 'tried to deceive his rape case investigators' and 'brutally humiliated his victim', judges say, with his NINE-YEAR prison sentence upheld ahead of final appeal in Milan nightclub case

Judges of Milan's Court of Appeal determined that Robinho 'belittled' and 'brutally humiliated' an Albanian woman in Milan as his nine-year prison sentence for his role in a gang rape was upheld.

Robinho, 37, was originally found guilty in 2017 before he was sentenced in December.

The rape of a 23-year-old Albanian woman on her birthday took place in Italy in 2013 at a nightclub and while Robinho has denied the charges and as such appealed the verdict.

But new details have emerged, as reported by Globo, from the Court of Appeal in which it has been alleged that Robinho and his representatives 'attempted to deceive investigators' by providing different accounts on 'previously agreed facts'.
