Erling Haaland 'to be Premier League's first £500K-A-WEEK player with new Man City contract', as Pep Guardiola's side seek to hold onto the Norwegian despite interest from Real Madrid

Erling Haaland is to be offered a bumper new contract by Manchester City executives, according to a new report.

The Norwegian striker has scored 42 times so far in this campaign, and the Citizens remain in the hunt for a potential three trophies this season.

Haaland's ability as a goalscoring machine has attracted interest from Real Madrid, who are thought to be keen on nabbing the player in the summer of 2024.

But The Sun report that bosses at the north-west England club will sit down with Haaland at the end of this season to thrash out a new deal, which will see Haaland become the best-paid player in the Premier League, with an income of £500,000-a-week.
