England boss Gareth Southgate stands by Kyle Walker and picks him for European Championship qualifiers after the Man City star avoids criminal charges over allegations of indecent exposure in a bar in Wilmslow

Gareth Southgate will stand by Kyle Walker for the forthcoming European Championship qualifiers against Italy and Ukraine after the England defender received a slap on the wrist from police following an incident in a Cheshire bar.

Manchester City defender Walker will not face criminal charges after being quizzed by police following allegations brought to light by the Sun newspaper that he had exposed himself in a bar in Wilmslow.

Walker, 32, was voluntarily spoken to by officers over the matter but it is understood he has now actually been dealt with only for being drunk and disorderly.
