Chelsea move two points behind Arsenal in the Women's Super League after they take hard-fought 1-0 win over Manchester City thanks to Guru Reiten's first-half goal

At the half-way stage of a season-defining week in the Women’s Super League, it is Chelsea who are in pole position to win yet another title.

Their 1-0 victory over Manchester City means they are now two points behind Arsenal with a game in-hand and three clear of Manchester United, who have also played one match more.

Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with United on Saturday gave both Chelsea and City the chance to close the gap at the top. But it was Emma Hayes’ side who took advantage. It was nervier than the Chelsea boss would have liked but her side limited City to half chances.
