Borussia Dortmund's LGBTQ+ fans say they feel 'let down' by the club's £25m signing of Felix Nmecha after the midfielder - a devout Christian - shared homophobic and transphobic social media posts earlier this year

Borussia Dortmund's LGBTQ+ fans have admitted to feeling 'disappointed' by the club's £25million summer signing of Felix Nmecha, who shared homophobic and transphobic social media posts earlier this year.

In keeping with their tagline 'Echte Liebe' (real love), the Black and Yellow pride themselves on inclusivity and diversity and work hard to stamp social ills such as racism, homophobia and transphobia out of German football.

Manchester City academy graduate Nmecha, who joined Dortmund last week after a fruitful two-year spell at Wolfsburg, has previously been criticised for his 'homophobic' and transphobic' behaviour on social media and appears to disagree with the club's anti-discrimination values.
