The 28-year-old delivered a man-of-the-match display at the Etihad Stadium, having a hand in both goals on the night, while creating numerous opportunities and being at the heart of nearly every attack.
City’s first goal came from Rodrigo in the 30th minute – the 23-year-old headed home De Bruyne’s corner. The creator turned goalscorer for City’s second goal, firing an effort past Lukasz Fabianski after fine work from Bernardo Silva in the build-up.
