Benjamin Mendy has gifted American musician Pharrell Williams a Manchester City jersey with the Frenchman's name and number on the back.
Mendy was afforded some time off from his rehabilitation from injury to attend an Adidas event, while the rest of his colleagues jetted off on international duty.
The 23-year-old was left out of Didier Deschamps' France squad for friendlies with Colombia and Russia but will be hopeful of earning a place in his World Cup group this summer.
Mendy seemed to enjoy his evening off and posted an image of the moment he handed his new friend the shirt on his Instagram alongside the caption: 'Pharrell and I, #HereToCreate'.
