Manchester City face an uphill task to keep Sergio Aguero at the cub with Argentine club Independiente desperate to bring him home.
Aguero started his successful career at Independiente and has not hidden his desire to return there one day.
According to reports in South America, as reported by The Mirror, Independiente are now 'ramping up their efforts' to bring Aguero home.
It is claimed the seven-times Copa Libertadores have even launched 'Operation Aguero' as they do all they can to re-sign the 31-year-old.
The former Atletico Madrid star is contracted at City until 2021 and the reigning Premier League champions are unlikely to let their prized asset go without a huge fee before then.
