Antonio Conte remains in Italy on Saturday night as hopes that he might be able to attend tomorrow’s clash against Manchester City fading.
As it stands, Spurs fear they will be without their boss for the game against Pep Guardiola’s men.
Conte is in his homeland following surgery to remove his gallbladder after falling ill last week.
And on Saturday evening he was still in Turin continuing his recuperation from the operation, with the expectancy being that he will not be at Sunday’s clash.
For the moment, it is understood Conte will arrive back in London at the start of next week - provided he has medical clearance to travel - with a view to leading the team’s preparations for next Saturday’s clash against Leicester.
