Manchester City are interested in Fluminense youngster Kayky and may have to battle Shakhtar Donetsk to procure his signature, according to Globoesporte. Shakhtar have lodged a bid for the 17-year-old, but Flu president Mário Bittencourt says he’s expecting City to follow.
Bittencourt told Spor TV: “Manchester City has already informed us that it will send a proposal as well.” And although The Athletic note that Shakhtar have signed more than 30 Brazilian playes since 2002, City are an attractive destination for Kayky.
