Baton Rouge, La. – Back-to-back wins for the LSU women's golf team for the first time since the 1996-97 season has earned them BASF Team of the Month honors for October.
The Tigers got the month of October started by sharing championship honors at the Princess Anne Invitational in Virginia Beach, Va. LSU and Virginia Tech were named co-champs of the tournament that ended on Oct. 6 with three-round totals of 3-over 843s. A final round 1-over 281 helped clean up a five shot deficit that the Tigers faced heading into the final round. Ingrid Linblad (4-under 206/4th place), Latanna Stone (1-under 209/8th place) and Kendall Griffin (even par 210/9th place) all earned top-10 finishes at the tournament.
