NEW ORLEANS – Former LSU linebacker Devin White has been named the 2019 Male Corbett Award winner, which is given annually by the Greater New Orleans Sports Award Committee to the top amateur student-athlete in the state, the Allstate Sugar Bowl announced Saturday.
White along with LSU gymnast Sarah Finnegan, gymnastics co-head coach D-D Breaux and former LSU football player Billy Truax will be presented on Saturday, August 10, as part of the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame Banquet at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
The Corbett Awards are presented annually to the top male and female amateur athletes in the state of Louisiana.
