KNOXVILLE, TENN. - LSU diver Manny Vazquez Bas finished in third place on the three-meter springboard on day one of the Tennessee Diving Invitational in Knoxville, Tennessee. The invitational will continue tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. CT and will conclude with platform competition on Sunday at 10 a.m. CT.
Vazquez Bas dove to a score of 312.10 in the prelims to finish in ninth place and advance to the final that immediately followed. The freshman delivered with his second best three-meter score of his career, a 366.10, in the finals to earn the bronze. The win was the second three-meter victory for Vazquez Bas in his collegiate career - adding to his win at the TYR Fall Classic back in October.
