It was just a matter of time before University of Texas San Antonio head coach Frank Wilson made a strong push in Louisiana--and that time appears to be now.
Wilson and his staff went through a staff meeting on Thursday that included evaluations of many Louisiana prospects, and 11 prospects emerged with overtures from the Roadrunners. Wilson and staff already hold one Louisiana commitment in the 2018 class, with Warren Easton wide receiver Sheldon "Sticks" Jones jumping on his offer shortly after learning of it last month.
The Roadrunners signed one of the top classes in Conference USA in 2017, which included signing Zachry linebacker Donovan Perkins.
