BATON ROUGE – For the second time in three weeks, LSU graduate transfer placekicker Cole Tracy has been named by the Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicker Award as a “Star of the Week”, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced.
Tracy shared this week’s honor with Tucker McCann of Missouri and Chase McClaughlin of Illinois.
Tracy was recognized as a Lou Groza Award “Star of the Week” following the season-opening win over Miami when he kicked four field goals in the 33-17 win over the eighth-ranked Hurricanes.
Against Auburn on Saturday, Tracy drilled the game-winning 42-yard field goal as time expired to lift LSU to a 22-21 win over the seventh-ranked Tigers.
