BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Tigers beat South Alabama, 11-1, Tuesday night at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
The Tigers will face Vanderbilt in a three game series beginning on Thursday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m.
The win moves LSU to 17-8 overall with South Alabama falling to 13-10.
Will Hellmers (5-1) was awarded the win after working two innings, allowing no hits and no runs. Hellmers recorded one strikeout and one walk.
