Team USA and LSU assistant coach Howard Dobson lost the Gold Medal vs Japan and will take home Silver.
3B Amanda Sanchez and Mexico lost in the Bronze medal game to Canada.
It was a nice return for softball to the Olympics, all things considered. The US will have to wait some time for revenge though. Softball will not return to the Olympic lineup until the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

Allysha Chapman and Team Canada continue to advance, beating Brazil on penalty kicks to advance to the Semifinals.
