Fayetteville, Ark. – Monique Hardy (9th place), Jon Nerdal (9th place) and Jake Norris (13th place) represented LSU track and field in the weight throw on day one of the NCAA Championships Thursday evening at the Randal Tyson Track Center.

Hardy, a freshman from Webster, N.Y., took ninth in her NCAA debut with a throw of 70' 6.50" (21.50 meters). Hardy was the only freshman in the nation to advance to the NCAA meet in the women's weight throw.
