BATON ROUGE – Kristen Nuss was named the CCSA Preseason Player of the Year the conference announced Wednesday afternoon, three days before the Tigers' season is set to begin.
"When you watch her play and it's clear when she walks on the sand that she has disadvantages physically," said coach Russell Brock of his 5-6 senior, "and to watch her play and to see her be so dominant – it's not just that she's so dominant, it's that she is overcoming apparent disadvantages and still is way above the curve in her ability to be excellent.
