BATON ROUGE, La. – Once the inevitable shoe dropped Sunday afternoon, the natural reaction for so many was predictable: What now for LSU football?
Tigers football coach Les Miles was cut loose by athletic director Joe Alleva, the culmination of a downward spiral the program has plodded through for the past two-plus years. Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron also was dismissed.
Thus ended one of the longest, most successful and absolutely entertaining coaching tenures in recent SEC history. Now LSU has to turn the page and that process could lead to several different plot lines with plenty of twists along the way.
