BATON ROUGE – A pair of LSU safeties – Jacoby Stevens and Mo Hampton – have been selected as Southeastern Conference Players of the Week for their performance in the 56-20 win over Arkansas on Saturday night in the Tiger Stadium, the league office announced on Monday.
Stevens earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Hampton was picked as the SEC Freshman of the Week. The honor is the third of the year for Stevens, while Hampton was recognized for the first time. Earlier this season, Stevens earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week against Mississippi State.
