Junior college linebacker/defensive end Soni Fonua made it official today by signing with LSU out of Mesa Community College.
A 6-4, 264-pound player originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Fonua visited LSU last weekend and verbally committed on Saturday. He had 51 tackles in five games for Mesa CC in 2018.
Fonua chose the Tigers over offers from Oklahoma State and Nebraska, and was recruited by Dennis Johnson and Bill Busch.
