COLUMBIA, Mo. - No. 15 LSU (23-13, 7-7 SEC) evened the series against No. 19 Missouri with a 4-2 win in game one of Sunday's doubleheader at Mizzou Softball Stadium.
LSU will face Missouri in the series finale at 1 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
Ali Kilponen (9-4) earned the win after allowing just two runs. Kilponen struck out eight, including four to end innings. Kilponen stranded the bases loaded in the sixth with a strikeout and denied Missouri's comeback attempt in the seventh by stranding two.
