BATON ROUGE – LSU's Alyona Shchennikova and Haleigh Bryant have earned the top honors by the Southeastern Conference office.
Shchennikova was named the SEC Gymnast of the Week following her all-around debut at Auburn. The sophomore set four career highs on the way to a 39.525 all-around score. Shchennikova scored career highs of 9.90 on vault and 9.925 on floor. She made her beam debut and scored a 9.875.
Bryant was named the SEC Freshman of the Week after her all-around and vault win against Auburn. Bryant has won the all-around in all three appearances this season.
