BATON ROUGE - LSU's Niamh Robinson and Aimee Wilson have been named SEC Women's Freshman of the Week and Women's Diver of the Week, respectively, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Robinson swept the breaststroke events this past Saturday against SMU with times of 1:03.05 in the 100-Yard and 2:13.96 in the 200-Yard. Her performance in the 200-Yard propelled her to fifth all time in LSU history in the event, and was also the 30th fastest time in the nation this year (ninth fastest by a freshman).
"I am very happy for Niamh to get the nod from the SEC based off her racing this weekend," said LSU head swim coach Dave Geyer.
