LSU wide receiver Drake Davis was arrested Friday, after a report he battered a girlfriend, per a report from Baton Rouge’s WBRZ.
Davis, a junior receiver, was booked on one count of second-degree battery on accusations that he broke a woman’s rib, attempted to strangle and ripped an earring out in separate incidents last April and June. The details of the report are quite frightening.
LSU officials confirmed to multiple media outlets that Davis is indefinitely suspended, which is standard practice in these situations.
Davis was a five-star prospect out of the IMG Academy in the 2016 recruiting cycle, but has struggled to crack the lineup in his first two seasons at LSU, and by most reports that was not likely to change this season.
