Rains, Course Conditions Cause First Round Postponement At NCAA Women's Golf

BATON ROUGE – Overnight and heavy morning rains rendered the University Course layout unplayable and at noon Monday NCAA officials postponed the first round of the NCAA Women's Golf Regional.

The plan is to play the first round at 10 a.m. Tuesday using a shotgun formation that will put all teams on the course at the same time. Decisions regarding the amount of holes to be played Tuesday and how many rounds that can be completed before the end of the tournament on Wednesday is still to be determined.

LSU, the top seed in the event, paired with Ole Miss and Baylor, will tee off the first three holes in the Tuesday shotgun.
