Pitching, Power get Softball to Regional Championship Game

Shelbi Sunseri continued her hot play both from the circle and at the plate, as the Tigers topped ULL 10-3, and enter Sunday one win away from advancing to the Super Regional.

After holding McNeese to two runs over seven innings, Sunseri posted a similar line against the Cajuns with three runs allowed over seven innings while striking out four. From the plate she went three for four including an RBI double and a solo home run.

In spite of the wide margin of victory, it was ULL who scored the first run of the game. The Tigers would quickly respond when Amanda Doyle, who kicked off the Tiger scoring the night before, launched an RBI double that plated Aliyah Andrews and Ciarra Briggs.
