BATON ROUGE – LSU's Ed Orgeron, who has guided the Tigers to a 7-0 start and a No. 2 national ranking, has been named to the 2019 American Heart Association Bear Bryant Award Watch List, the organization announced.
Orgeron, who is in his fourth season as head coach of the Tigers, has a 32-9 overall mark at LSU with seven of his victories coming against Top 10 opponents, including two in 2019.
Orgeron is one of 22 coaches from across the country named to the watch list. The list of 22 will be narrowed to a group of finalists in December.
