HONOLULU – The No. 3 LSU Beach Volleyball team started its 2020 season Saturday on Queens Beach at the Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic against three top-20 teams.
LSU opened the day with 1 5-0 win against No. 19 Stanford, before dropping its next two matches to No. 1 UCLA and No. 5 Hawaii.
"It's an opportunity to play in a hostile environment, but an educated environment," said coach Russell Brock. "We wanted to see what we could do in, basically, the most challenging situation we could be in.
"That gives us a realistic perspective of where we are and what we need to work on.
