New LSU OC Steve Ensminger has had issues as play-caller in past

BATON ROUGE, La. – In a week of widespread changes within LSU’s football program, most of the focus has been on Ed Orgeron getting another chance at running a big-time program.

Second chances don’t stop with Orgeron, though.

Once he was handed the keys to the Tigers’ coaching staff after Les Miles was fired, one of the first things Orgeron did was dismiss offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and elevate Steve Ensminger from tight ends coach to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

That move may prove to be as impactful as anything else Orgeron does in the first week or two in the driver’s seat, depending on what Ensminger does with this turn as a play-caller.
