Fayetteville, Ark. – Led by Trey Winstead's 2-under par 70, the LSU men's golf team carded an opening round 3-over par 291 on Monday at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. LSU is tied for fourth after 18 holes of play alongside Alabama.
The Tigers started on No. 10 Monday morning at the challenging Blessings Golf Club and played in a fivesome with LSU players only, as did the rest of the teams in the field. Winstead's 2-under 70 has him two shots off the lead in a tie for fourth place.
