BATON ROUGE-- The LSU men's basketball team defeated Texas Southern, 88-80, Saturday evening in the Maravich Center.
Junior Duop Reath lead all scorers with 21 points. Craig Victor II had 10 rebounds, and Patterson and Sampson had four assists each.
Antonio Blakeney finished the night with 16 points as he was 3-of-4 from the three point line, while Kieran Hayward and Jalyn Patterson were a perfect 2-of-2 from beyond the arc.
The Tigers will take on the College of Charleston Monday night in the PMAC at 7 p.m. CT.
