ATHENS, Ga. — SEC Network analyst Marcus Spears has shown during his brief TV career that he is not afraid to share his opinions, and he had some strong words Friday when discussing his alma mater’s decision to fire Les Miles.
“I thought last year it should have happened,” said Spears, a defensive end at LSU from 2001-04, under Nick Saban. “When you talk football and you talk football with the way the program was going? You probably should have taken care of that after last year.”
Spears and the rest of the “SEC Nation” crew met with the media Friday in advance of Saturday’s Georgia-Tennessee game.
