Rickey Jefferson beamed a wide smile Tuesday evening as soon as he heard the number "9."
The rising LSU senior has patiently waited three seasons for the opportunity to wear the number his brother, quarterback Jordan Jefferson, did from 2008-2011.
And now that the Tigers' safety has the jersey he's always wanted, he can't contain his excitement.
"Aw, man, it's been amazing, because it's my big bro," he said. "He wore that number, and I look up to him, and he's my mentor, so to do that my last year here, that's an honor, man. Really.
