LSU running back Derrius Guice will miss Saturday’s game against Troy because of a knee injury, Tigers coach Ed Orgeron said Monday.
Guice originally was ruled out for last week’s win over Syracuse, but later in the week, his status changed and he started. Guice had 14 yards and a TD on eight carries, and didn’t look to be near 100 percent.
Darrel Williams, who ran for 92 yards and a TD on 16 carries against Syracuse, likely will get the start this week against Troy.
Guice has 314 yards and five TDs this season, and is averaging 4.
