OMAHA, Neb. -- The first pitched baseball from LSU starter Alex Lange at the College World Series will go to Louisiana Congressman Steve Scalise.
A message from his personal Twitter account said Scalise was watching the game against Florida State as he recovered from a Wednesday shooting in Alexandria, Va., where a gunman struck Scalise once in the left hip.

LSU coach Paul Mainieri said Thursday that Scalise had been selected as an honorary coach for the game.
The first pitch from @Lange_17 will be presented to @SteveScalise.
