Ed Orgeron and the LSU staff are working vigorously to close out the 2017 class.
Many of the top targets date back to the beginning of the recruiting cycle, but some new names are surfacing, only adding to the drama leading up to National Signing Day.
LSU currently sits at 18 commitments, following a flip from IMG Academy wide receiver Jhamon Ausbon, leaving plenty of room to add some big names down the stretch. Many of the needs remain the same--linebacker, defensive linemen, running back and offensive tackle, but now the wide receiver position also becomes a priority, as the Tigers have lost two commitments from the group since Les Miles' firing in September.
